How prices and product matches are produced
CogCaddy searches multiple sellers, standardizes their product information, and applies matching rules to distinguish strong matches from uncertain results.
Seller searches
When a user searches for a product, CogCaddy identifies its category and selects the sellers most likely to carry it. It then searches those sellers and standardizes the resulting product information, making prices, availability, and other details easier to compare consistently.
Match groups
- Accepted matches are results that appear to match the intended product with enough confidence to compare directly.
- Possible matches may be relevant but need user review because the title, variant, identifier, or seller data is not definitive.
- Rejected matches were found during seller search but did not pass matching checks for the intended product.
Freshness and availability
Prices, stock status, shipping terms, and seller pages can change after CogCaddy checks them. The app reports the latest data it has collected and should be used as a comparison aid, not as a guarantee that a seller page is unchanged.
